hello. go to admincp phpfox.

Main file folder is writable (file/). This is a security risk and this folder should not have any "write" permission. please help

chmod 0755 to your FILE folder in your phpfox 3 root via ftp

for "FILE" folder you must change permission/CHMOD to be 555
login to your root using ftp or webpanel.

I always have this on 755. Does it needs to be on 555 or is 755 ok too.

for security reason is better to change to 555

Ok, gonna try.

But how is the caching and all other writings will be succeed. As it has to write in that folder. right? Or has this nothing to do with the system to be able to write in there.

and give 775 beside "file"folder like cache folder,attachment etc.
